Have you ever thought about going oval? Non-round chainrings are becoming a common sight on bikes, but are you getting the best out of yours?
Using our Shimano Bikefitting.com jig, we can pinpoint the angle of the pedalstroke where you are most powerful with both your right and left legs, then adjust your chainrings accordingly. This means that when you are applying most force, you are in the largest gear, and when you are producing least force the Q ring gives the least resistance. As we all have different saddle, cleat and handlebar positions (think road vs TT vs MTB) the rings often need rotating to match our power output precisely.
